- Contacts (optional): if you choose to enable contact discovery, we may access your contacts to help you find friends.
- Device/app data: app version, device type, and basic diagnostic information to keep the app reliable and secure.
How we use information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To deliver messages, attachments, and app features you request.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our rules.
- To improve performance and fix bugs.
App permissions
MW Chats may request certain permissions to enable features. You can control permissions in your device settings.
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): used only when you choose to record and send a voice message.
- Photos/Storage: to let you pick and upload images or download media.
- Camera (optional): if you choose to take a photo to send.
- Contacts (optional): for contact discovery if you enable it.
When we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information in these situations:
- Service providers: trusted providers (for example, hosting and databases) to operate the app.
